The 1st gen MINI was introduced with the One, Cooper & Cooper D in 2001, these are called R50.
The Cooper S was indroduced in 2002 & called R53, while the Cabriolet introduced in 2004 was called R52.
The range was facelifted in late 2004 & the R50 & R53 finished production in September 2006, while the R52 continued until 2008.
