Splice phone interface |

This interface will fit Boost, HK & Sat Nav systems Fitting is easy, all connections are made behind the radio. The termination is Nokia, others are available or you can chop the nokia plug off & connect to any phone kit. The interface powers the phone kit, mutes the radio, show 'phone' on the display and routes the sound through the front speakers. (There is no box to hide with this interface) 1. This is the splice interface
2. Key Off. Remove radio using DIY radio section 3. Unplug radio. It should look like this.
4. Remove blue lock pin from here.
5. Insert yellow wire with pin into empty slot 10 (mute)
6. Insert Blue wire with pin into empty slot 11 7. Refit blue lock pin 8. Splice Black wire to the brown at pin 12
9. Splice Red wire to red/brown at pin 15 (live) 10. Splice Blue wire to purple/blue at pin 16 (aux live) Insulate all wires. 11. If the slot shown in step 3 is empty, insert 12 pin plug from interface 12. If this slot has a plug in it go to step 13, if not, reconnect radio and connect phone kit. 13. If there is a factory 12 pin plug, remove it
14. Unclip & remove centre section of plug
15. Strip the 12 pin plug from interface & remove the 2 wires/pins (they have
small metal locks on the pins) Insert these wires into the same positions in the
original 12 pin plug (end 2 -pins 6 & 12. The new plug is circled the empty
spaces arrowed.
16. Refit 12 pin plug into radio plug, reconnect radio, connect phone kit. |
