This ipod kit is easy to fit DIY. It will charge the ipod and give high quality audio from the dock connector. Track control is done on the ipod, volume on the stereo. Removal of the stereo is not required, This kit is plug & play. Choose from a dock connector if you wish to leave your ipod loose or a active cradle & mount it on one of our no holes mounts for easy access

Tools required: T30 torx driver, recommended - plastic trim tools. Both are available in the tools section of this site

1

Unclip & remove trim panel in centre stack

2

  Unclip & remove aux socket

3

  Unplug aux socket

4

Undo T30 torx screw in each front cup holder

5

Pull the cup holders up to give access to cig lighter plug

6

Unclip side trim from centre stack

7

Reach under cup holder & disconnect cig lighter (2 pin plug shown)

8

Plug factory cig lighter plug into socket on ipod kit loom

9

Plug new plug on ipod loom onto cig lighter

10

Tuck wires & plugs under cup holder area leaving remaining loom & chip sticking out from side as shown. ENSURE THE PLUGS & WIRES ARE CLEAR OF THE CUP HOLDER SCREW HOLES

11

Tuck the wires under the centre console working forward until they are behind the centre stack as shown

12

Push the white plug into centre stack (as shown) Towards the aux socket

13

Hopefully the white plug will be visible in the area where you removed the trim panel & aux socket earlier (if not feel for it with your fingers)

14

Tuck the white plug through the aux socket hole (shown)

15

Connect the white plug to the black aux plug. Ensure the 3 pins line up with the 3 sockets. & the empty hole(& lip) in the black plug should be at the same end as the empty holes in the white plug (shown)

16

Plug in your dock cable or cradle into the chip

17

If using the dock connector you can follow the route taken by the white plug & locate it under the toggle switches

18

If using the active cradle run the cable up the side of the centre stack

19

Hide the chip & wires in the side of the centre stack

20

If using one of our no holes mounts clip this to the dash

21

Tuck the cable up the side of the no holes mount & mount the cradle

22

The car can now be rebuilt. Push the centre console down into place & screw in (remembering to check no wires are in the way)

Clip the centre stack side trim into place - taking care not to scratch the stack with its metal clips.

The hardest bit is getting the top pin to line up (PICTURED) a flat blade screwdriver can help easing this into place

23

Turn on IGNITION (not just auxillery) select aux on radio & enjoy
