Fitting a fully integrated bluetooth kit (parrot evo to MFSW)This kit links the latest 3 spoke MFSW with phone buttons to the parrot evo phone kit.
You can activate voice dial, redial, answer, end & volume from the MFSW.
The radio mutes & sound comes through the car speakers.
It is plug & play
1 | | Remove the stereo
See our DIY. (on the latest 06 Minis the stereo is much easier to remove - just undo the 4 pillar screws then the pillars will drop & you will see the radio screws)
Unplug the factory radio plug (boost/HK type shown) | | 2 | | Plug the factory radio plug into our loom & our loom into the radio | | 3 | | If the car has CD changer, Sat nav, Ipod link or aux then remove the 12 pin white or black plug from the factory radio plug & insert them into the new radio plug.
CD changer plug shown | | 4 | | Connect the silver box to the remaining white plug & then attach the parrot evo blue box using the supplied loom
| | 5 | | Mount the microphone (my favourite place is the top of the A pillar)
& run the cable down behind the door rubber | | 6 | | Plug the microphone into the parrot | | 7 | | Find a place to hide the parrot controller
This can be under the dash or in the drivers knee cubby. You will need to get to this when pairing a phone to the kit.
Plug it into the 4 pin socket on the loom - shown
| | 8 | | My favourite place for mounting the phone box is behind the drivers dash end panel
(parrot not shown)
Ensure that the boxes & cables are secure & cannot come into contact with the pedals & steering column | |
